The Sacred in the Ordinary

The Sacred in the Ordinary
The most powerful images from a birth are rarely the dramatic ones.
They're the quiet ones. The hand on the shoulder. The glass of water held to someone's lips. The way a partner whispers something only the two of them will ever know.
Where I look
I look at the edges. The in-between moments. The breath before the push. The silence after the cry. The first time a sibling touches a tiny hand.
These are the moments that contain the whole story.
Why it matters
Because birth is not a spectacle. It's an intimate passage. And the images that matter most are the ones that see it that way — with reverence, not performance.
That's the work I do.
